The Perfect Family Getaway On A Tropical Thai Beach
For the past Few years my wife and children have been hunting high and low for the perfect vacation destination that has something for every one the family to keep everybody fully amused, but at exactly the same time offers peace, quiet and right environment to have the ability to immerse oneself in, totally unwind and get off the treadmill so to speak.
We've been to some really pleasant areas during our search, but in all the experiences we loved, each one was missing at least one of the vital ingredients that all of us agreed as being completely necessary in order for each of us to be completely satisfied and content.

The Khao Lak literally means Lak Mountain and there's a nature reserve on the mountain which makes for one of the regional attractions that we thoroughly enjoyed during our nature walks and guided Jungle treks. Each of the 3 spots are rather quiet, and have lodging which range from the height of luxury all the way through the backpackers spots to give something for all budgets and make this quaint, beautiful place in Thailand available for everyone to experience.
Actually if you enjoy the quieter side of things while on vacation then Khao Lak isn't just somewhere that's perfect as a family vacation place, but also for anyone who's wanting to unwind and relax in character, and in my view it makes for the perfect honeymoon location since there are lots of attractions which are impressive and interesting, while not being overly flashy and intrusive. If you would like to go and Khao Lak in a particularly quiet time of year then I'd advise going through the low season months that are from April-November.
The Accommodation
Like I mentioned previously in this post; you will find accommodations to suit all budgets and cater to most tastes and requirements at a place to lay their head. We opted for renting a villa in a hotel as we all know from experience that this will make our lives easier with their being team on all during most hours to support us with anything we needed. Also we enjoy the privacy you get with a villa whilst still having a hotel swimming pool, bar, restaurant and in this particular case - a Kids Club, which suited us perfectly.
So during the days we could leave the kids to enjoy themselves with whatever the Kids Club had organised for this day, while my wife and I'd go off on our scooter or on a guided tour to look into the nearby attractions and areas of interest - that there are many.
The Villa also had a stunning sea view over the beach that in accordance with local folks had the finest, most beautiful sunset in the state. The beach is the perfect, soft, sandy type and the sea water is hot and as clear as can be, really scuba diving is known to be very enjoyable in this area since there is a lot of sea life and several interesting things to see. Therefore, if you enjoying diving, then make certain to reserve some interesting dives when visiting Khao Lak.
